This page sets out the limits of what you should rely on this site for. It is not boilerplate — each section below describes a real way that AI-related content can mislead someone, and what we do about it.

Educational purpose

Everything on PromptForge is published for learning. It is not professional, legal, financial, medical or career advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your situation.

This matters more than usual in this subject. A prompt that produces a competent-looking contract, medical summary or financial analysis has not produced a reliable one, and the fluency of the output is not evidence about its accuracy. Where our material demonstrates a prompt in one of those domains, it is demonstrating a technique, not endorsing the result for use.

AI output is not reliable by default

Our courses, prompts and exercises involve AI systems that generate confident, fluent text that is sometimes wrong. We teach this explicitly rather than hiding it. Verify anything that matters — particularly names, dates, figures, citations and code — before acting on it. We are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of unverified AI output.

Cost estimates are estimates

Our token counter, cost calculator and context window calculator use approximations rather than each provider's exact tokenizer. They are accurate to roughly 10–15% for English prose and less accurate for code and other languages. They are built for planning — deciding whether something is affordable, or which model to test — and not for billing reconciliation or for sitting on the edge of a hard limit. For those, use your provider's official tooling.

Prices shown anywhere on this site are indicative and carry the date we last checked them against the provider's own documentation. They change without notice and sometimes substantially. Confirm current pricing with the provider before committing to a budget.

No guarantee of outcomes

Our career material describes what has worked for people and what the market currently appears to value. It is not a promise. Nothing here guarantees a job, a rate, a promotion, or that a technique will work for your situation — and any site in this field that implies otherwise is selling something.

Third-party services and your own accounts

Using the techniques taught here generally means using someone else's service under their terms. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any model provider or tool you use, for the content you submit to them, and for any cost you incur. We have no relationship with your accounts, cannot see them, and cannot recover anything on your behalf.

Never paste credentials, API keys, customer data or anything confidential into a prompt you have not checked the destination of. Our own tools run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere, which we state on each tool page — but that is a claim you should be verifying about every tool you use, not just ours.

Accuracy and currency

AI moves quickly. Model capabilities, pricing and availability change, sometimes within weeks. We date our articles and correct errors when we find them, but content may become out of date between updates. If you spot something wrong, tell us — we would rather fix it than defend it.

We link to model providers, research papers, repositories and third-party tools. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, pricing, privacy practices or availability.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. We make no guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that using it will produce any particular outcome, including employment or income. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from use of this site or from anything produced with the techniques described on it.

Reporting a problem

If something here is wrong, out of date, or has stopped working, tell us at contact@promptforge.academy and name the page. Corrections from readers are the fastest way this site stays accurate, and they are acted on rather than filed. How we handle them is set out in our Editorial Policy.
